Immediate Past District Governor
IPDG Dan Sibanda

Lion Dan Sibanda became District A711 Governor (2019-2020) in Milan, Italy, on July 5th, 2019. In addition to his role as the Immediate Past District Governor, he serves in the Multiple District A North American Membership Initiative (NAMI) team, where he is responsible for Member Retention initiatives.

He was a Charter Member of Bulawayo Aloe Lions Club in District 412 in 1989. He transferred to Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club in 2002 where he has been Club President three times. He was Region 6 Chair for two consecutive terms (2012-2014). His term as District Global Leadership Team (GLT) Coordinator ran from 2014 to 2017.

In his Lionistic career, PDG Dan has held every club-level Executive position (from Club Secretary, Club Treasurer, Club Membership Chair to Club President). This was coincidentally perfect preparation for his role as GLT Coordinator (2014-2017), where thorough knowledge of club administration is a vital skillset.

A strong believer in membership growth, PDG Dan has sponsored over ten (10) people into Lions in the last eight years. His tireless efforts led to the formation of the Emerging Leaders Lions Club in 2014 and he served as the co-Guiding Lion of the new club. As the District GLT Coordinator, his passion was identifying and developing future leaders. As District Governor (2019-2020), his efforts led to the reactivation of three previously cancelled clubs.

Having been a Lion for over 30 years, PDG Dan enjoys sharing his expert knowledge in lionism with all Lions across the District and Multiple District A. A Certified Guiding Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, PDG Dan is a graduate of the Faculty Development Institute (FDI) and Lions Certified Instructor Program (LCIP). He has served, in one capacity or another, all the A711 District Governors since 2012, receiving numerous International Presidents' Awards, Medals and Certificates of Appreciation.

On a professional level, PDG Dan is a licensed Professional Engineer (Ontario) and a Chartered Engineer (UK). He holds a Masters degree in Business Leadership and is a Technical Services Manager with a company in the energy industry. He is also an active member in his community - having been, among other things, a Director at Carassauga Festival of Cultures for 6 years (2002 - 2008), and a member of the Elder Nomination Committee (2017-2018) at Portico Community Church, Mississauga.

Lion Dan is a father to three adult children and a proud grandfather to one. His wife, Lion Phoebe, is the current Region 6 Chair.

Tebo Richards

Lion Tebo (Terrence) Richards was a Leo then a Lion for over 20 years in the true spirit of the motto of Lions Clubs International (LCI) - "WE SERVE". A member of the Thistletown Lions Club, Lion Tebo served with distinction in several leadership positions including Leo Advisor, Club President, Zone Chair, Region Chair, District Chair, Convention Registrar, Cabinet Secretary, District Trainer on District Global Leadership Team (GLT) since 2014, Facilitator for MDA RLLI in 2019, and LCI Webinar in 2020.

Lion Tebo has attended all District and Multiple District Conventions since 2007, all Lions International Conventions since 2014, and all USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forums since 2015. Lion Tebo is a graduate of ALL levels of Leadership Development Institutes namely: LCIP (Lions Certified Instructor Program Pilot) 2017; FDES (Faculty Development Excellent Series) 2016; FDI (Faculty Development Institute) 2015; ALLI (Advanced Lions Leadership Institute) 2014; & ELLI (Emerging Lions Leadership Institute) 2013. Lion Tebo was among the first ever graduates of Lions University programs with a Bachelor (2015), Masters (2016), and Doctorate (2017).

Lion Tebo has been recognized for his contributions to Lionism with awards including 100% Attendance; Lion of the Year; Membership Key; Secretary Award; Zone Chair Award; Region Chair Award; District Governor Awards; and International President Awards & Medal. Lion Tebo is a Certified Guiding Lion (CGL); Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF); Life Member of Camp Dorset Kidney Dialysis; Life Member of Lions Foundation of Canada (LFC) Dog Guides; CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) Knight of Lake Joseph Camp for blind, visually impaired, and deafblind; and Honorary Lions Guardian of Camp Huronda Diabetes Canada D-Camp for children with diabetes.

Lion Tebo has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the UNB, Fredericton, NB, a Postgraduate Honors Diploma in Information Technology from DeVry Calgary, AB; and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, Oakbrook, Il, USA. A Business Systems Analyst, Lion Tebo started his own business www.terryfix.com providing services as a freelance business consultant specializing in Cyber Security and penetration testing.

His passion for service extends beyond Lionism as an active member of several community service groups and organizations including 4-H Club, Boy Scouts, Cadet Corps, Rotaract/Rotary, Toastmasters, and Junior Chamber International (JCI) St Kitts Jaycees. An ordained Priest and choir member, he also serves as Deacon, Cathedral Board Secretary, and is Treasurer of his Lodge. Lion Tebo is married to Lion Dionne, with five children: Shawn, Elrick, Keilon, Terrence Jr, and Terrell.

 
1st Vice-District Governor
Lion Sandy Heeralal-Judan

In the year of 2000, Lion Sandy joined Lionism. She is an educator with the Toronto District School Board and graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Lion Sandy is a proud mother of three wonderful children: Mark, Brian and Natasha.

Lion Sandy has been awarded the Judge Brian Stevenson’s Award and has earned several International President’s Membership Awards. In addition, she has received the Diamond Centennial Award, District Governor’s Certificate of Appreciation from 2014 to 2019 and Centennial Club Organizer recognition. Lions Foundation of Canada granted her Life Membership in 2007.

Currently, she holds the title of District Cultural and Community Activities Chair and Youth Exchange and Camp Program Chair. In the past she has held the positions of Region and Zone Chair, as well as Guiding Lion. She is a proud member of Toronto Centennial Lions Club.

Her passion and belief in lifelong learning is the catalyst behind attaining Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Lions University. It has motivated her to work on her Doctorate.

“Fostering the bridging of cultures in our communities” is her mantra and she remains constantly involved in supporting and servicing, neighbouring clubs, educational projects and First Nations initiatives.

With humility, she is proud to serve.

 
2nd Vice-District Governor
Ferdinand Coronel

Lion Ferdy is a charter member of Toronto Achievers Lions Club. What attracted him to Join the Lions organization is the opportunity to serve the community while gaining Organizational and Leadership skills, He has attended two lnternational Conventions and Three USA/CANADA LIONS Leadership Forums. Lion Ferdy enjoys being a Lion and loves to Travel and meet new Lions, He was a Club President, Club Secretary twice, Membership Chair, MCC twice and active in various Club Committees.

He was elected Zone Chair 58B 2018-2019, Region Chair 58 2019-2020 and re-elected as Region Chair 2020-2021. Served as a member of the GLT 2019-2020, Convention Committee 2018-2020, District Directory Committee 2018-2020.

Lion Ferdy will serve as the NAMI COORDINATOR 2020-2021 and member of the GLT 2020-2021, GMT 2020-2021.

A certified Guiding Lion, Melvin Jones Fellow, Judge Brian Stevenson Fellow, Graduate of LCI lnstitutes (ELLI/ALLI), graduate of Lions University (Bachelors, Masters) & completed the Doctorate course. He received the DG Appreciation Award 2020, Outstanding Zone Chair Award 2019, Leo Extension Award 2019, Lion of the Year, President Award, Secretary Award.

Professional Life: Insurance/lnvestment Advisor for the past 26 years and an active member of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board as a Realtor (7 yrs.)

Happily married to Lion Arlyne the current (charter) Secretary of Toronto Achievers Lions Club and blessed with 3 adult children.

Jim O'Breza

Lion Jim has been a member of the Burlington Lions Club since 2007 He has served as club Treasurer for the past 13 years He has served on the Finance, Funding, Membership, Market and several other Committees in the club. He was the Organizing Chair for the 90th Birthday Celebration and organized the annual Youth Night Project for many years

In the District Lion Jim has served as Cabinet Treasurer for 2 years and 6B Zone Chair for 2 years. Served as Convention Treasurer for the past 2 years.

He has attended several Conventions and many District meetings over a number of years. At the club level he has received the Lion of the year award and the International Melvin Jones award.

At the District level he served on the Disaster committee and VIP Car Rally.

Lion Jim is a widower who was married to his wife Audrey for over 50 years. He has 3 daughters, 4 Adult Grand Children and 4 Great Grand Children.

He is a retired Controller. Other positions he held were Cost Accountant, Banker and a Consultant during his career.

During his Lifetime he was an active Ten Pin Bowler, Fastball Player and Golfer as well as other Sports.

His Volunteer activities included mentoring a winning Junior Achievement company, Coached Youth fastball, Executive Member of the Brockville Ten Pin Association (ABC) that redeveloped the organization. Established the Youth Ten Pin Bowling organization (YBC) in Brockville.

He was a certified bowling instructor and he developed and coached a high school bowling league.

 
Global Membership Team (GMT) Coordinator
Bob Knox

Over the past 25 years, Lion Bob has been president for three clubs in Scarborough, namely; Scarborough Bendale, Scarborough Cedarbrae and Scarborough Central. Lion Bob was also Zone Chairperson for three terms, Region Chairperson for one year and Chairperson for the Scarborough Clubs for the Lions Walkway.

Lion Bob has been a member of Scarborough Central Lions for the last 10 years and has held several positions other than President, some of which were Membership Chairperson, Fund raising Chairperson and first Vice Chairperson.

Lion Bob was the Peoples Warden at the Church of the Epiphany in Scarborough. In his younger years he was heavily involved with the Wexford Hockey League, Toronto Marlies and Neil McNeil High School Hockey. During this time, he was fortunate to have had three T.H.L. Championships, plus he was involved with the first Hockey School in Markham, Ontario and the Jr. B. Hockey Club (International Wax).

Lion Bob is happily married to Yvonne and they have two children and four grandchildren. Lion Bob retired from GM.

Global Leadershp Team (GLT) Coordinator
Rolando dela Cruz

Lion Rollie started in Lionism in the Philippines and continued by joining the Toronto Golden Vision Lions Club. He transferred to Wishing Well Lions Club where he became District A711 Governor in Lion Year 2005­2006.

After his governorship, he served as Membership Coordinator of Multiple District “A” MERL Team and Extension Coordinator for two years.

He has been District Extension Chairperson, Cabinet Secretary for three years and District Global Membership Team Coordinator for three years.

He has attended the School for Lion leaders in the Philippines, Advanced Lions Leadership Institute, Membership, Extension, Retention & Leadership (MERL) Workshop, Lions Clubs International Faculty Development Institute, and Club Quality Initiative Facilitator Training. He earned Lions University Bachelor and Master’s Degrees.

He was a Lions Clubs International MD ”A” Regional Leadership Institute Presenter for two years, Presenter in several Membership and Extension Trainings in MD “A” and District A711 levels, and Club Officers Trainings.

Lion Rollie is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, Judge Brian Stevenson Fellow, and Lions Foundation of Canada Life Member. He is also a Life member of Lions Clubs International.

He is one of the only two District Governors across Canada who received a 5­Star District Governor Award in Lion Year 2005­2006.

 
Global Service Team (GST) Coordinator
Harold Hobson

Lion Harold Hobson is a charter member of the Huttonville Lions Club and has been a Lion for the past 38 years. He was inducted District Governor A711 in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 30th, 2015.

He became President of the Huttonville Lions Club in 1990-1991 and has held other positions in the club including Director, Treasurer and Time Secretary. Lion Harold enjoys serving his community and is passionate about Special Olympics. He has been the Multiple District A Special Olympics Chair since 2016.

At the District level, he has been District A711 Global Service Team (GST) Coordinator since November 2018 and was the Patti Hill Campaign Chair where he enabled the District to raise over $10,000 for the campaign.

Lion Harold is a Melvin Jones Fellow, Judge Brian Stevenson Award recipient, Life member of Camp Dorset, Progressive member of Lions Foundation of Canada, Knight of CNIB Lake Joseph. He is also a recipient of the District Governor’s Appreciation Medal and five-time recipient of the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation.

Lion Harold resides in Caledon and retired several years ago from an international company as the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager as well as ISO Quality Manager.

He has been married to Patricia for fifty years. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
